Visit with Jillie & Krista

On Sunday we got to go to Salina and see Jillie and Krista! Jill was down from North Dakota to have a fitting on her wedding dress. So we met for lunch and then went to Krista's house to get the wedding invitations designed. The wedding is going to be here before we know it!

First bandaid (excluding those from shots)

Easton had his first bleeding boo-boo on Sunday. We had got a few items at Target, and left them on the bed with him, not thinking about anything being dangerous. I came back in and saw spots of blood all over him and the bed and ALL his toys and socks and clothes. I swear he touched everything he possibly could in just a matter of minutes! He wasn't fussy or phased by it, but he had cut his middle finger just enough to make it bleed. We're pretty sure he cut it on the flour sifter, which is aluminum with semi-sharp pieces on the inside. Obviously, we're not in the correct mindset quite for a child who will soon be mobile and is already getting into things. His poor finger kept bleeding for more than 20 minutes. Probably because he kept sucking on the bandaid! Thank God, all is well! And Mommy and Daddy learned a valuable lesson!

Apology

I just wanted to apologize for not keeping very up to date on the pictures lately. I do have stuff from other Christmases, but it's all on the other computer. So that'll have to wait. I'll do my best to get more posted and to do a better job of keeping current!

Streit Christmas in Salina

For the Streit Christmas, we all gathered at the Holiday Inn in Salina. This was fun because they had a pool, and Easton is finally old enough to go swimming. So we got to take him for the first time! Plus we got to see almost everyone and play some cards and open some gifts.

Easton was pretty tuckered out after supper, gifts and swimming! Elwin thought he matched the pillow, so now we have a picture of sleeping Bubba with a pillow! We're very clever, let me tell you.

Getting into the cute little shart swim trunks didn't go over quite as well as the swimming did. He was pretty skeptical of the water at first (probably because it wasn't colder than the bathtub and much larger!), but he seemed to be having fun after he got used to the idea.

Chuck got a KSU chair! Too bad Elwin stole it from him...I bet his heart was broken!

Easton got to help Grammy Dene open her gift. Paper is so much fun!

Bubba loves to play with my necklaces. Sometimes the only way I can keep him from choking me is to just put them on him. Unfortunately, we've discovered that there are a few necklaces that shouldn't be chewed on, as the little wires pull apart and then we find beads and wires in his mouth! Thank God we caught that right away! But this particular necklace in the photos seems to be his favorite.

Our own little Michael Phelps!

Our little mister may be the next Michael Phelps! Ever since we took him swimming for the first time he's really enjoyed bath time to the fullest extent! And he enjoyed it pretty well before! Now he's not satisfied until we, the floor and the dog are fully drenched. And he's pretty good at getting that accomplished in a short amount of time. His new favorite thing to do is play on this tummy in the tub. Which works out fine until he decides to try to chew on whatever toy he is playing with...which is usually under water! And if he's not on his tummy, then he's doing the new version of the backstroke. Check it out in the video below!
