New Wedding Attire

Easton got a new outfit yesterday for some weddings we have this spring. I'm very excited because the lime green will match Jillie's colors! We got a size too big, so I need to exchange it. I'll post some pictures after the first wedding this weekend. I'm sure it'll be much cuter when it fits a little better!

Another day home with Mom

Easton spent the first 3 days with me this week. Dalton (Melissa's youngest son and Easton's best buddy) had his tonsils taken out on Monday. So Bubs and I had some great bonding time at work on Monday and Wednesday, and we stayed home on Tuesday. He's so much happier now that he's mobile! It's a huge difference. I feel like I can do stuff again. He does follow ya room to room quite a bit of the time, but he can get there himself! And often, he'll play by himself for a hour straight and not even notice where you are.

On Tuesday I vacuumed the floors, and he just thought the vacuum was so fun! He chased me around and had a blast. When I put it down, he kept trying to move it like he was vacuuming. Of course, when I got the camera out, he just sat there and stared at me! Maybe I'll have a little helper in a few years!

When he wakes up now, instead of just laying there crying, he's sitting himself up. Sometimes he'll get on his knees and hold onto the edge of the crib. We need to lower it down so he doesn't tumble over once he starts pulling himself up!

It's all great until Mommy catches him knawing on the edge of the rail!

New PJ's at Grammy and Pappy's

Someone was not thinking when we packed to go Grammy and Pappy's this last weekend....and we forgot Bub's jammers. Yes, I did it. I forgot. So, since he's almost outgrown most of his anyway, we stopped at Dollar General on Saturday to buy a new pair. And for DG, I'd say they're pretty cute. Maybe it's the child in the pajamas that makes them so cute! We'll stick with that.

Apparently Pappy was pretty interesting. He's sure got an audience!

Ellie Belly Rotelli Noodles (and Easton)

Easton loves Ellie. (Or as Dana calls her: Ellie Belly Rotelli Noodles....don't ask me why.) He absolutely loves to chase her around the house. Charlie's no fun, cuz he just sits there. But Ellie tries to get away, so then the chase is on! On this particular day we found her asleep in my recliner, and when I set Easton down, she actally stayed for a minute. At least long enough for the picture...then she was off...and so was Bubba.

Bubba's Crawling!!!

Bubba's crawling! And not just backwards! I spent the whole day at home with him on Thursday, and he just scooted around all day. I guess he was waiting for Daddy to come home so he could be there for it. Around 7pm I looked in the living room (I was fixing supper), and saw Easton actually crawling...and guess what he was going after? No, not the dog, not the cat, not a toy....his SOCK! Who would have ever guessed he'd chase a sock!?! So we threw the sock around the room a few times and he'd chase it. Even more fun than throwing a bone for Charlie! So here's a few videos of the first few forward movements. We didn't think to turn the light on in the room the first time (it looks darker on the video than it really was in there....we're not mean and make him play in the dark!!!).

First week of February

February started off good. Grammy Dene was in town for meetings, so she came up on Tuesday night for a little Grandma time. Easton showed her how he can crawl backwards and sit himself up from his tummy. Grammy is sure he'll be crawling (forward) by the time we go to Osborne next weekend.
On Wednesday, Bubba got himself backed into his basketball goal. It was quite humerous for us all, as it got stuck on his pants and he couldn't get himself out of it! He kept trying, but he just kept pushing himself backwards into the wall. Eventually he worked his way out, but it probably took 5-10 minutes. We all got a good chuckle out of it!

On Thursday, Melissa had to be out of town, so I got to stay home and work from home for the day. I love days like this, but usually don't get a ton of work done. But Easton is finally getting better about playing by himself, and I assume that's because he's a little more mobile. So I actually got a lot done, because he played by himself so much. Here he is playing in his crib. He didn't spend much time in there, but it seems that's the only time I pulled the camera out.

Finally tuckered out...but only for a short time.
